Our work

MUFG wanted to highlight some of the benefits they offer that often get overlooked by employees. They wanted to draw attention to these ‘hidden gems’ in a way that appealed to both existing employees and new joiners. Additionally, the solution needed to be future-proof – so if their benefits changed over time there would be scope to update whatever was created to include new policies.

What we did

To meet the client’s needs, we decided that the best solution would be to create an animated video and an engaging digital publication that highlighted some of their key benefits. We also ran a supporting campaign with emails, posters and other comms throughout their annual selection window to help ensure maximum engagement.

We kick-started the project by holding a client workshop, clarifying their intended scope, thoughts on the video theme and the required key outcomes. This was refined through follow-up discussions, scripting and creative visual concepts.

The video features an animated hand that guides the watcher through rooms of a house that are themed to reflect MUFG’s benefit categories. When the hand clicks on specific pieces of furniture, it reveals information about ‘hidden gem’ benefits, giving employees insight into what’s available in their benefits package.

Once employees finish watching the video, they’re directed towards the matching digital publication. This interactive document follows the same theme as the video, providing much greater detail about each benefit, while also leading employees towards their benefits platform, OurBenefits, to make their selections.

The final video and digital publication were used for MUFG’s 2023 annual benefit selections window launch and is intended to be used throughout the year as an overview of their benefits offering for new joiners.

The results
